IVEY CUP


The annual Ivey-Cup Competition is an intense year-long tournament in which all HBA1 sections compete in several events try and win the most Ivey Cup points. The competition includes 9-10 events stretched out across the year - each event adds more points to your tally. The whole point of the competition - the section with the most Ivey Cup points becomes the winning section of the year-long tournament. The students win $2000 and obtain eternal bragging rights.

Section 4 has been the champion of this tournament for the past three years - but with a new section on the battlefield - the $2000 prize is anyone's for the taking! Get ready for a year filled with amazing events like the Mandarin All-You-Can-Eat competition, Sports Tournaments, Pajama Day, Milk Chug competition and the infamous Scavenger Hunt. These events will show you the other side of Ivey and provide a nice break from the monotony of cases, 48 hour reports and exams. The Ivey Cup competition commences the first Thursday of O-Week with the "Taste the Cup" event.

Essentially, win or lose, it is the funny stories, the strong friendships, and the collective sense of achievement that are the ultimate reward. In its 10th year, the Ivey Cup is more than ever a representation of the competitive spirit, creativity, camaraderie, and graciousness that is required to prosper in the HBA program and in the world beyond the hallowed halls of Ivey. Events

Taste the Cup
Sections compete in several events during O-Week.

Mandarin all you can eat contest
Student stuff their faces at the mandarin. Most items eaten by section = most points = winning section.

Food Drive
Sections gather dry foods and money to donate to the London Food Bank.
The section with the most food and/or money, wins.

Halloween Costume Competition
Sections compete in seven categories for the best costumes.

Milk Chug
One brave student per section chugs 4L of milk - first student done, wins.

PJ Day
Student dress in their PJs for the day, the section with the most participants wins.

Beach Volley Ball Tournament
Sections compete in a beach volley ball tournament.

Quiz Bowl
A team from each section competes in a Jeopardy-like tournament.

Dodge Ball Tournament
Sections compete in a dodge ball tournament.

Scavenger Hunt
The culmination of the Ivey Cup season: The Ivey Cup Scavenger Hunt.
Sections participate in a one-day huge city-wide quest.
